Brand new drive, box opened for firmware flashing and testing. Drive has been flashed with custom firmware (BU40N 1.03MK) to allow ripping of 4k Blu-rays and tested using MakeMKV.

This drive is perfect for anyone that wants to backup their entire collection of UHD 4k Blu-rays, regular Blu-rays, DVDs, or CDs to hard drives or other long term storage devices.

Please note: UHD-Friendly drives are intended for backing up your movie library to your computer. While they can be used for video playback with software like VLC and MakeMKV, performance may vary depending on your computer system specifications.
